Ahmed El Beheiry

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer

Ahmed El Beheiry was appointed as Managing Director and Chief Executive Office as of March 28, 2017. He has been a member of Telecom Egypt's Board of Directors since March 2016, representing the Egyptian government.

El Beheiry started his career as a design engineer for mobile networks in Alcatel Egypt and contributed in the infrastructure construction for the first mobile network in Egypt during the period from 1995 to 1998. In July 1998, he joined Mobinil (currently Orange Egypt) as a Network Development Manager, assuming various positions till he served as the Networks & Roaming Director, prior to starting his own private business.

In 2007, he founded Telecomax Group for Investment and Development that represents a group of companies operating in the fields of telecommunications and Information Technology services in Egypt, Africa and the Middle East. He also served as the group board Chairman till March 2016.

In 2014, El Beheiry co-established "IDEA"; Investment for Development in Emerging Africa, a Company focusing on infrastructure, power and water projects development in Africa. He served as the company Managing Director till December 2015.

El Beheiry has a number of researches contributing in the field of Mobile Communications Engineering that was published in the Telecom World Conference in California in 1997 and in the International Institute for Communications and Information Technology (IEEE) Magazine in May 2001.

El Beheiry holds a Bachelor Science in Communications Engineering from the University of Alexandria in 1994, with an honors degree, and then he continued his theoretical studies to get a Master's degree in Mobile Communications Engineering in 1997 and a Master of Business Administration from the Arab Academy for Science and Technology in collaboration with the French University of Rennes.

Refaat Geneidy

Vice President for Regional Affairs

Geneidy was appointed as Vice President for Regional Affairs and Human Resources in April 2017.

Geneidy was appointed to VP Chief Regional Officer in December 2012.

He joined Telecom Egypt in 1984. He has been with the company in various managerial and technical positions, including Director for different zones since 2006. In October 2012, he was promoted as Senior Director for Upper Egypt and Suez Canal cities.

Geneidy holds a Master degree in Business Administration from AAST and B.Sc. in Electrical Communications Engineering.

Mohamed Shamroukh

Senior Vice President for Financial & Administrative Affairs (CFO)

Shamroukh was appointed to Senior VP for Financial Administrative Affairs & CFO in April 2017.

Shamroukh was appointed to VP & Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in March 2016.

He is an experienced member of Telecom Egypt's as Chief Financial Officer since July 2013 and senior management team with over ten years' experience at the company, spanning operations, technical planning and corporate strategy

Shamroukh first joined Telecom Egypt in 2002 as a Network Engineer, undertaking various responsibilities and roles before being appointed General Manager of Operations in 2007. In 2009 he was appointed to the role of Director of Corporate Strategy, a position he held until his appointment as CFO.

Shamroukh holds an Executive Master in Business Administration from IESE Business School and a B.Sc. in Electronics and Electric Communication from Cairo University.

Antar Kandil

Vice President & Chief Information Officer (VP & CIO)

Kandil was appointed as VP & Chief Information Officer in April 2017.

Kandil has 19+ years of invaluable corporate experience in business Information Technology (IT) in diverse industries among multinational organizations moving from FMCG, IT consultancy, Shipping Lines, Oil & Gas to the Telecom industry, in Egypt and the United States of America.

Kandil first joined Telecom Egypt (TE) in 2009 as the General Manager of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Applications Development, as well as the Head of Oracle relations for TE Group projects, before being promoted as the Director of IT Operations & Infrastructure in February 2011.

Kandil was appointed the Senior Director & Chief Information Officer (CIO), in April 2014, before being promoted to VP & Group Chief Information Officer.

Kandil started his career, in 1998, working for Aria Systems (USA), for almost 5 years, first as the Senior Systems Administrator for the Cairo office, then moved to the New York office as the Information Technology Manager. In April 2003, Kandil relocated back to Egypt joining Swift Group (Multinational Shipping Lines & Freight Forwards) as the Group Information Technology Director. In May 2005, Kandil moved to Shell Gas & Power Company as the Head of Information Technology before joining Nile Company for Food Industries (Enjoy) in mid-2006, as the Group IT Director, a position he held for more than 3 years.

Kandil holds a B.A. in Business Administration from Alexandria University, Egypt, and is currently studying an Executive Master degree in Business Administration from Heriot-Watt University, Scotland.

Mohamed Abo-Taleb

Vice President & Chief Commercial Officer (VP & CCO)

Abo-Taleb joined Telecom Egypt as VP & Chief Commercial Officer on September 2017.

Abo-Taleb enjoys 17+ years of invaluable corporate experience in the communication industry in both the Egyptian and international markets; namely Africa, Asia and Canada.

Before joining Telecom Egypt, Abo-Taleb successfully lead the transformation of The Post Distribution Company (PDC) as the Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, since October 2013.

In February 2011, Abo-Taleb joined Orascom Telecom Holding to lead the Regional Sales office overlooking the African and Asian markets, as well as the acting Vice President for Sales in Wind Canada.

Abo-Taleb started his work career, February 2000, in Vodafone Egypt where he held various positions within the company before being appointed the Consumer Sales Strategy & Development Manager, in 2004, then joined Etisalat Egypt in 2006 as the Head of Sales Operations & Strategy department.

Abo-Taleb holds a Master degree in Business Administration from ESLSCA, France, and a B.A. in Commerce from Cairo University, Egypt.

Adel Hammed

Vice President for International Wholesale

Hammed was appointed as a Vice President for International Wholesale in August 2017.

Hammed chairs the board of Telecom Egypt’s Sporting Club Board since August 2016.

Hammed first joined Telecom Egypt in 1999 as communication engineer, undertaking various roles and responsibilities before being appointed as General Manager of Technical Support and Follow up for the International & Wholesale Deputy office in 2008. In 2013, he was appointed as the Director of International Operations & Maintenance, moving on to the role of Domestic Wholesale Director in 2014 before being promoted to Domestic Wholesale Business Unit Head in 2015.

In 2015, Hammed represented Telecom Egypt as an active Board Member in both TE Data and Arab Sat.

April 2017, Hammed was promoted to Senior Director of Domestic Wholesale until his appointment as Telecom Egypt’s VP for International Wholesale.

Hammed holds a B.Sc. in Electronics and Electrical Communications from Helwan University, Egypt.
