Telecom Egypt and Huawei North Africa sign MoU to provide public cloud services

Telecom Egypt and Huawei North Africa announce the signing of a MoU that sets the ground for a strategic partnership to provide public cloud services in Egypt and the surrounding region. The agreement comes in line with Telecom Egypt’s plans to support and contribute to Egypt’s digital transformation initiative and the vision of turning Egypt into a digital hub. As companies globally adopt cloud services as a fundamental step to the digital transformation, Telecom Egypt is committed to keeping pace with technological advancements to build a cloud platform that effectively caters to the needs of enterprise and government customers.

Adel Hamed, Telecom Egypt’s Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer said:

This cloud services agreement is the first of its kind for Telecom Egypt and it represents a leap forward towards digital transformation that will enhance the digital ecosystem in Egypt and the region. We aim to seize all the opportunities, in collaboration with tech giants like Huawei, to contribute to national and regional development and create new revenue streams. We are looking to become a provider of comprehensive services in the field of IT offering innovative services development, internet of things and cloud based solutions to a wide range of customers.”
